I bought from y'all in 2009 and happy I did again 2024
My kid's lips don't turn blue during swimming practice, but she can actually freely and fully move her shoulders, and her coaches can observe her strokes properly. So happy about this! Also, we got the wrong size the first time we ordered, and WarmBelly made it super easy to manage the return and exchange, and it was really fast, too. My kid is 10 years old--glad these exist for larger-than-toddlers!
Keeps my child warm!
My preschooler is so much happier in the pool since I bought this suit.
Design not effective
Design not effective. Armpit area was too wide, causing water to flow in and out preventing the chest to stay warm like normal wetsuit. A concealed opening would be helpful for restroom. Suit is difficult to pull down when wet.
Second suit upgrade
This has been the best investment for my child. He used his previous one 2 years before it got too tight and small. The adjustable strap great plus. Once his legs got thicker and more muscular is when I saw I need it to get it bigger. His swimming improved, confidence, keeps his body warm longer able takes swimming seriously as a future competitive sport he is 7 years old first to move up with older higher skilled swimmers. One more level and he will be able to begin competing. The material truly helps with how a child glides through the pool.
Mountain Lake Approved!
I have known about Warm Belly for over a decade. I used to teach swim lessons and was first introduced to them through clients who bought them for their kids who were having a hard time maintaining their body temperature in the water. I'm a mom to three now and we have been a regular customer since 2018. Each wetsuit has lived well through all 3 of my kids. I was surprised to see anything other than 5 star reviews and wanted to take a moment to address some of the criticism. Wetsuits are meant to be tight. They are supposed to be hard to take on and off. Getting the correct size should reduce the chance of rubbing and irritation. I have purchased 4 or 5 suits at this point and if I had one that came apart easily at the seam or the velcro, I would immediately contact the company as I would assume a manufacturing error over poor product quality because we have used the heck out of ours and the only flaws they have at this point are sun bleaching and some pilling from the velcro getting stuck to the suit (I don't even follow the wash instructions and throw them in the washing machine every single time). I do think the sizing chart is a little off in correlation to the clothing size that it claims. I would recommend a size above the clothing size your child wears if they are above the 50th percentile in weight. My long lanky child is the only who technically fits her size. I wouldn't worry about height since there is an adjustable strap. We live in Western Washington where all of our lakes are cold. My kids (all under 7 years old) outlast almost every other child their age because of these suits. They're rarely cold, never complain about the suit, and happily put them on every time. When I go to change them after swimming, their cores are always warm to the touch. They can be worn under swimsuits or on their own. The sleeveless design is a swim instructor's dream; it doesn't impact their ability to use their arms correctly while swimming. My kids LOVE swimming and I think a large part of that is these suits. They have allowed my kids to play in rivers, mountain lakes, the ocean, poorly heated rec pools, and backyard pools without feeling cold and miserable. I'm about to go buy, probably, our last suit as my oldest is going into the largest size. Even though the prices have gone up (a respectable amount), as a penny pincher, I'm not even batting an eye. This is an investment and the wetsuit will likely get used regularly for 6 years between my 3 kids. I never write reviews, and certainly not this long when I do, but this product is that good.
